The inportant things what I have learned.

In class. students discuss a lot of things relatived with what we write down. So, it was interesting in participating in talking our matter. However, the only thing i miss is that I should have talked about things more joining class argument bringing about better grade in participation points. I totally like to write down beliving and doubting essay which was decribing one matter in different viewpoints and talked about proper idea to support my argument. Also, there are a lot of works in classes I think one thing I have learned the most is research paper which I focuse on my whole power and attention. We learned hot to make Works Cited page which is really important to make research papers and someone came to our class to teach our subject.
I have one thing I still don't make sence why we put our responce on summary papers.I think I misunderstand what you want during summary paper time. So, it resulted me in getting low grade for summary paper. However, i entirely liked to take this class because I learned a lot of the way to summarize, organize and equate in this class.

What I have learned

Last semester I had taken ENGH 0990, which helped me tremendously. I cannot say that I can understand English perfectly now, however, I can read and write better, and I am still learning it; I am sure I will get better in the future. For example, before last semester, I was really afraid of reading and writing somehow, but through the efforts of last semester, I am not scared of reading and writing gradually, also I have learned some skills about grammar, format and how to organize an essay. The most important thing I have learned during this semester is that I have learned so many things such as how to do visual rhetorical analysis and research paper. One thing I think I improved most is to write the introduction and thesis; I was always struggle in how to start a paper. Moreover, I also improved how to create ideas, this is really important for me as well. I don’t think I have done an outstanding job, but at least I have tried my best. Summer semester is too short that made me really busy.
I am so glad that I took this class in summer semester, and I know would get better and better. I always hope to learn more about what I need to work on it, and do it better or improve myself. I am so exciting about what I still have few more years that I can keep improve myself, and be more competitive in the future.

The most important thing what u learned in this summer

I learned so many things in this summer semester, and it made me so busy because of just short term. Although this semester was so short, I think I learned so many important things in this english1010 class. I learned how to write visual rhetorical analysis, Summary/Strong response, and researched essay. I’ve done analysis, and summary response essay in my 0990 English class, but I think it was just practicing for these 1010 essay. I struggled with these essay so much, but still I didn’t know what do I need to write. However, the peer review thing really helped me to write my papers by getting advice from peers. It helps me a lot and I loved check my paper before turn in the final papers. I could know what did I write wrong, and format, etc. The most important thing is the learning rhetorical strategy. I didn’t understand what that is at first, but I asked someone to figure out what it means. And I know now it is so important thing when we read someone’s essay, and when we write our own essay to persuade someone. Learn what I didn’t know before makes me feels so happy because I am being knowledgeable. This class was so helpful to prove my skills to write, was not good but I feel I improved on my paper, and I felt I have to study hardly in English after see my grade. So I want to say really thank you to teacher~~

What I have learned...

Even though the semester was a bit shorter I have learned something as a writer and as an individual. The warm environment of ESL no longer around it was a challenge to me to learn how to participate in class with native students. I was afraid that a teacher would get annoyed with my accent. When I first try to say something in class that wasn’t the case at all…. I have leaned to be confident about myself and ask a question make comment in class. I also learned that one of the ways to get idea for a paper is to participate in the discussion and to listen. From my writing, I can tell that I made a bit of progress. Especially by being a bit risky (as the teacher told), I get a better paper. The papers that we had to write were really interesting especially the believing and doubting one. A good writer learns to analyze both sides of an argument. From the advertisement paper we also learned to analyze. That was an quite fruitful semester for me.

Let's not kiss asses here

"My education was the liberty I had to read indiscriminately and all the time, with my eyes hanging out." -DYLAN THOMAS.

This is a quote from my favorite Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas. I'm sure your very familiar with his work, Daniel.

This quote pretty much sums up my education through out college. I have become a better writer, mainly, by having a reason to read and write, all of the time. Not to under-mind the importance of a good teacher for guidance, but most of the improvements I made this semester came as a consequence of a lot of reading, writing and hard work.

That is what I learned from this class, that I could become a better writer, by reading and rereading analytically, and writing by writing and revising. Just like with painting, I learned that I can always improve on my writing, by always writing, all the time, with the intent to improve my skills.

English, one of the Best

This English class has truly been the best English i have ever taken. In the past i have to admit it was my most dreaded class, but this was nice, maybe it is that i am now older or that i did a lot preparation before taking the class. I learned that Writing a paper is more then just putting facts on a page, anything that is written is meant to influence others. This has made me look at things that i read much differently. I have gained a sense of appreciation for writers and I am now more exited to read when the opportunity is presented I just hope that all of the collage English teachers will teach like this class was taught. I learned more in this English Class then any before it therefore I must say thank you.
